Jazz Up Your Wednesdays!

May I have your undivided attention please? (glass tapping)….I have a good news for my fellow Jakartans who enjoy singing & dancing! (drum rolling)…

Music Républicain Chorus (MR Chorus) is open for new members!

This year, we are working on the Tony award-winning Wicked The Musical (from “The Wicked Witch of the West”). I assure you that it’s going to be a real fun learning experience! Not only will you be singing the awe-inspiring songs from The Wicked, but you will also get to learn ballet & jazz dance!!

Our Wicked Concert is tentatively scheduled to be in October/November 2009. So you’ll have about 10 months to learn both singing & dancing from the experts!

If you’ve always been looking to be a part of a fun & friendly community where you get to sing and dance at the same time, and if you LOVE performing, then MR Chorus is definitely the one for you! Don’t worry about your singing/dancing level at all. Everyone is very much welcome to join, no audition necessary. It’s all about the freedom of creative self expression here in Music Républicain!

This evening will be our 3rd meeting already, so you’ll need to register SOON so as not to miss out on more. Currently we have more than 20 people, and these people happened to be the loveliest group of people ever on earth! The group consists of people with very diverse backgrounds: lawyers, accountants, doctors, bankers, entrepreneurs, teachers, young mothers, and then some! They gathered in MR Chorus for the love of music & dance!

    Of course you may! Everyone is welcome to join us!

    MR Chorus is a part of Music Republicain (The New School for Music & Image), and isn’t LEARNING supposed to be the heart of a school? :)

    You may come earlier tomorrow evening (please come before 07:30 pm) to give you enough time for registration & introduction with the members before the session starts :)

    I will attend to you personally tomorrow. Please confirm whether or not you are coming, okay? :)

    Hi Chieka,

    Yes, EVERYBODY is welcome.

    If you’re really interested in joining, please do so as soon as possible. The chorus is progressing very fast (both in singing & dancing).

    If you wish to register soon, you may come to Music Republicain even before the practice day. MR is open from Monday through to Saturday, 9am-8pm.

    Hi Ivonne,

    I am interested in Acapella, but unfortunately your current group is only for women. Do you have a similar group for men? If so, and if the time is suitable for me, I would be interested in joining.

    Hi Ivonne.
    I’ve just seen the the advertisement (hiks….). Is it too late for me to join next Wednesday (April 4)? If I could, I believe I can catch up the singing part, but maybe need to work hard on the dancing part :P
