We finally had our sound & lighting training with Kenny & Onard yesterday!
The training was quite intense (with so many information to take in & digest), but it was really fun! We finally get to understand how to operate all the complicated sound system & lighting in our concert hall. It was definitely a brain work out for all of us.
Kenny is really a wonderful teacher, he explained every steps very clearly, and made the whole sound system operation very comprehensible for us. Suddenly it all made sense! The cables & that hundreds of buttons in front of us were no longer THAT daunting! The next step was for us to incorporate our ear’s sensitivity & sensibility to produce sound masterpiece in the concert hall 
Onard too, taught us to understand stage lighting in ways that we never thought we could. There were so many things to take into account. Once we understood the technicalities, we had to practice & practice to get used to controlling so many things going on at once. Of course, we need to embed our creative brain cells into creating something cohesive for the production.
Everyone was very happy with the training! I guess it was partly the satisfaction of finally getting a grasp with something we never thought we would understand. Sound & lighting are indeed very fascinating form of art. We’re happy to have had the opportunity to learn. More importantly, we’re soooo looking forward to more chances of being the sound / lighting operators in the next production!
