To Breathe and Not To Breathe

I meant to write a post about Valentine on Valentine’s day 2 days ago, but somehow haven’t got the chance to do so as I was really occupied. I thought I would write yesterday, but not after I heard the heartrending news that my uncle, all of a sudden, passed away yesterday. It really came as a shock as he was in a good health at the age of 62, just right before his heart stopped pounding.

In another part of the country, I heard my aunt (my I-ma’s elder sister) in Surabaya was in a critical condition. She’s been ill for quite some time, and has been in the ICCU for more than a week. Last midnite I was told that her body temperature dropped to 23 degree celcius, and her heart beats became few and far between. Then just minutes ago, the bomb was dropped. She took her last deep breath at the age of 74.

Loosing 2 people in 2 days really got me re-thinking about the whole issue of life and death, and the continuum between the two. I have so much thoughts going in my head right now.

May these two loved ones rest in peace, in heaven.
