What should we do when we have a bad day?My answer is: Do a little of crazy thing to cheer ourselves up!!! There’s nothing better than a smile or BIG laugh to defrost our gloominess.
Today I just found a pic I took 3 years ago when we were in Shenzhen (on our way to Shanghai for HPAIR conference). Our day was not quite wonderful: it was a dry & extremely hot summer day—I can feel my skin being burned by the heat; the first taxi driver that we met intended to run away with our luggages—we had to run a longggggg way to catch him (that involves running down the unbelievably long ladders, through the crowds, bumping into the millions people); the second taxi driver was in a terrible mood & he kept saying bad things to pick a fight with us; then we couldn’t find any restaurants willing to serve vegetarian meal & I had to walk another mile in my starvation mode. On top of it all, the air conditioner in in the room was not working properly. Great, huh?
Long story short, that day was of no fun at all. But guess what I found in my bathroom later that night? My dad’s “work of art” from mini-coconuts!!! (We had coconut juice earlier & apparently he thinks rather than throwing them to the rubbish bin, might as well use them to cheer us up). I laughed soooo loudly that I forgot about the not-so-good day.

See how little things can brighten up our day? Next time when you or your loved ones are feeling gloomy, rather than ending the day on a depressed note, try any crazy little tricks that come on top of your head. Anything that awakens the child within us is always good!!! J

ehm, yeah…add sushi to that list of tiny ‘lil things that cheer us up (me in particular :P) for some it’s chocolate, for some it’s ice cream, everybody got their own version of comfort food…
