JANE magazine is officially closed down, it is no longer being published—as was decided by its parent company Conde Naste this July.  Although JANE has about 700,000 readers in the USA, it seemed to be having a difficulty selling to advertisers, hence resulting in its low profit margin. 

JANE has always been one of our favourite magazines! In fact we’re subscribed to have a copy sent home every month directly from NY. We love the way the articles are written and edited, cheeky, snarky, and witty! Simply put: very original!  It offers fresh perspectives, which are definitely not mainstream, but not too edgy either. I met the previous senior editor in New York in late 2006, and she was just as cool as the magazine—young  and hip and talented! J 

 All in all, it’s a very cool magazine! It’s the only magazine my sis can read all the way through without even yawning once, how about that? 

In lieu of Jane, us subscribers are going to receive GLAMOUR. So, we are in our mourning period for JANE L .

I hope the people behind JANE who were put out of work by this demise won’t be unemployed for too long. All the best wishes!
